Christmas is coming early this year

Babita has some seriously fab fashions in 1968's Haseena Maan Jayegi. However the turquoise...I'm sorry, I can't come up with any better term for it, ELF outfit in which she frolics around the trees with Shashi Kapoor is not one of them. Check out the boots!
And the hat! It's coordinated head to toe fug!

I love how she's looking straight at the camera, all but giving the audience a wink of conspiratorial confidence, just like a perfume ad: "He knows he can't resist you...but only we girls know it's really your Santa suit that drives the boys wild."

On a side note, I find the following outfit totally fun rather than fugly, but I just had to put it in because it eerily presaged something one of our readers called Karisma on last year. Like mother
like daughter!

And if u talk abt bugly dress ups, nothing can beat Ayesha julka's wardrobe...a supremely oversized shirt with a slacks!! and much more..

Hmm. Delicious. I used to love Babita's costumes as a kid.

Blue Santa! Yes! We should name a drink after this outfit.

Banno - I thought her costumes in this movie were flawless except for this one. So much 60s fabulousness!

Shweta - Can you imagine how much fun dress-up would be in the Kapoor house?

Kanan - Thank you! And yes, Karisma herself is lovely. It's just the clothes...poor thing had the misfortune of starring in movies in the early and mid-90s. Not a good time for anyone.

Hi, I saw you are on the writing staff over there too! I gaze through a couple of articles and that’s all I required. I’m subscribed currently :) I can spot with so numerous things the authors say! I’m glad you formed out what was causing the problem. And I intended to say earlier that I be grateful for you taking the time to do this! All folks screen captures and linking must’ve taken forever!!
