Kush Tandon sent me some links to a few wacky old school filmi segments earlier this week.
Below is the most fugtacular of them all.
(Don't let the rhythmic panting or floor sliding distract you.)

Check out another 70's highlight: bong smoking hippies who naturally, also sing.

Rajesh Khanna was "the man" in his day. His slide came with Big B emerging, and he marrying Dimple Kapadia (His female base then moved on).
In 70s, while he was still a sueprstar he went super fugly.
Hello, i really *really* enjoy your blog.
But i have to tell you: if this http://youtube.com/watch?v=yQLQxW088x4 is not the epitome of disturbing bollywood fuglyness, i don't know what is. Especially from minute 1:25 onwards (leopard leotard hip thrusts) I hope you tear it to pieces one of these days >;D
Chapati, you read my mind. Kismat was so awful that I was really brief about it, but I did get in a few words about her pants. And as much as I would enjoy assigning more fug to Kismat, I don't think I could stand to put it back in teh DVD player.
Aww, no fair picking on "Dum maro dum" - it's seven kinds of awesome! :-)
Carla, I agree! "Dum Maro Dum" is holy!
Dum maro dum is gold.
I had sent her the clip for Dev Anand's collar, and to show how pretty Zeenat Aman was/ is that any costume worked for her. No matter.....
Well, just to clarify, it's totally okay to pick on *Dev Anand* in "Dum maro dum" - just not "Dum maro dum" generally. :-)
Oh, Zeenat was gorgeous in that film, wasn't she? So sad and lovely.
